Lee Downham
Partner and UK & I Markets Leader, Transaction Advisory Services, EY
Lee has 20 years of corporate finance and due diligence experience, advising international clients particularly in the Energy and Resources sector. He has worked across the globe, with major corporates, sovereign wealth funds and private equity investors on a number of deals during his time at EY, and has also led a number of main market IPOs in London.
He is a partner in our UKI transaction services team, leading our markets business across UKI.

Kirsten is the data analyst and author of EY’s Quarterly Profit Warning Analysis, a writer and coordinator in EY’s Corporate Development Officer programme and the UK writer for EY’s Capital Confidence Barometer.

Michel Driessen
Partner, Transaction Advisory Services, EY

Michel is the Lead Partner of Operational Transaction Services team in EY UK&I. Michel has over 27 years’ experience of combined consulting, transaction and industry experience and has previously held executive positions in Accenture, Rabobank, Visa and Fujitsu. Michel’s key area of focus has been around operational diligence, carve-outs, post merger integration and operational restructuring for private equity and corporate clients. Michel has a MBA from University of Bradford (with distinction), an MA degree in Political Sciences from Radboud University of Nijmegen and he is also a senior visiting fellow of the Cass Business School.


John Van RossenJohn van Rossen, Partner, Transaction Advisory Services, EY

John is a partner in EY’s Transaction Advisory Group. He has twenty years of experience including assisting financial and corporate investors with buy- and sell-side due-diligence services on public, private and public to private transactions across Europe, the United States and the United Kingdom including several cross-border deals.

Mark is EY’s Chief Economist in UK&I and the sponsoring partner for the EY ITEM Club. He has over 25 years’ experience as an advisor to Governments and industry on economics, policy and regulation. His key areas of focus are the macro-economic environment for business, global trade and exports, the rise of the emerging markets, economics and capital markets, inward investment, transactions, entrepreneurship and youth unemployment.


Charles HonnywillCharles Honnywill

Charles is an EY Partner and leads the firm’s Divestment Advisory Services team, having 30 years’ experience of deals. Charles is focused on tailoring the sale preparation to specific buyers to minimise the delay, risks of failure and to focus on achieving value before, during and after a sale process.  He is focused on working with vendors and management teams in the 18 months prior to an M&A process beginning.
